Self Serve Art

I just had to give a shout out to a local here in Winston-Salem, NC, Clark Whittington, inventor of the art-o-mat machine. He takes old cigarette vending machines and converts them to vend art for $5 - $7 a piece. A bargain if you ask me. There are currently around 400 contributing artists from 10 different countries. You can find these machines in various locations across the country. Who needs smoking when you can be addicted to art!

Femme Fatale

Order up a femme fatale of your very own on these hella cool pieces of dishware. Sarah Cihat, artist extraordinaire, creates "rehabilitated dishware" by purchasing dishes from second-hand stores, then reglazes and refires to create these mini-masterpieces. She brings the art of recycling to a new level.

Up and Blogging!

Finally...the new Swizzle Factory blog is up and running. I must confess I am not the biggest html wizard so you won't see anything too fancy here. Now, on to introductions...HI! I am Sherry B., owner/designer of Swizzle Factory, a letterpress printer of stationery and coasters based in North Carolina.


Hooray...a blog, one thing checked off of my to-do list. I'll be using my blog to tell about some things that tickle me pink! They may include happenings at Swizzle or just super cool finds. I'm not enough of a power blogger to post every day, according to my friends, they hope I have something interesting to say at least once a week :)
